Artwork description:

As the sun dipped low over the quiet shores of Pabbay, the sky bloomed with soft pinks and golden blush, mirrored gently on the tide-washed sands of the Isle of Harris. Captured on a perfect Hebridean evening, this piece holds a fleeting moment of stillness and splendour—a harmony of sea, sky, and reflection.

Pabbay, now uninhabited, once flourished with hidden whisky stills and fertile soil. Cleared for sheep in 1846, it remains a place steeped in memory. It was also home to Clan Morrison, my mother’s own clan—making this piece not only a landscape but a quiet elegy to ancestry and place.

Printed on exquisite, heavyweight museum-quality canvas, this artwork has the soft painterly feel many collectors treasure. I print every edition myself using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks with Vivid Magenta to capture the intensity and delicacy of colour. The result is a piece that will hold its tones and beauty for over a century, free from fading.

This limited edition print is signed, titled, and numbered, and shipped safely in a protective art tube. The 72 x 48 inch image plus a 2-inch white border for your framer to stretch around the sides of the frame—ideal for float framing.

Soft and warm in palette, this piece brings a sense of peace to larger spaces—perfect for rooms with high ceilings or interiors in need of a gentle statement.
Bespoke sizes and paper editions are available on request.
