Bluebells are known for growing in ancient woodland, they grow in Springtime before the Summer comes, taking advantage of the strong sunlight beaming down on the forest floor, before the canopy of leaves get too thick.
This gives the scene which I have captured in this painting a magical atmosphere of new growth and beautiful colours in this ancient wood.
