Original artwork description
A Dream Made Real is large square oil painting of a semi abstract landscape with deer, mountains a river and trees. It represents the idea of a dream becoming real. The original inspiration for the painting occurred many years ago when, as an art student, I went to Switzerland and sat up a mountain looking across a beautiful alpine valley. I have often thought of this place as it was stunning and have tried to ‘make it real’ with this painting. There is a field of wild flowers with fir trees to the left and a red deer hind to the right looking back at us. She is the spiritual element. The lines and dots that coalesce to create the scene, meet in the centre where there is a river with a small hut overlooking. Beyond it is a green valley leading up into the blue mountains. This painting reflects my belief that you make your own reality – not some higher power, the government or anything else.
