A Distant Memory is an expansive, atmospheric abstract that feels like a horizon recalled rather than observed. Soft bands of aqua, sea-glass blue, pale sand, blush, and misty cream drift gently through the frame, layered like light passing through time. The image is calm, luminous, and quietly immersive.

Created using long exposure and intentional movement, the landscape dissolves into pure feeling — a suggestion of sea and sky softened into memory. Edges blur, colours breathe, and the vertical composition invites the eye to slow and rise gently through the space. There is no fixed place here, only emotion: stillness, openness, and quiet reflection.

At 90 × 60 inches (including 2 inches of white border), this is a true statement artwork. Printed on softly textured, museum-grade canvas using archival, non-fade inks—each piece is produced by hand in my studio on the Isle of Skye. If you prefer fine art paper or a bespoke size, I’d be delighted to accommodate.
