This series was born as a creative contrast: after painstaking work with high detail, I wanted to move on to broad strokes, bold shapes and experiments with textures. It's like a school break after a long lesson: you had to "warm up" emotionally and technically.
It was the mixed media that made it possible to achieve depth and complex texture, which becomes the main character of these works.
I tried not to copy reality, but to create a mood through shape, color and texture. I
Interestingly, the final interpretations of paintings are often suggested by the audience. One work was conceived as an Italian motif, but the commentator saw a Portuguese village in it.
