Alexander Zhilyayev was born on January 8, 1968, in a small industrial city in Altai.
The Altai krai is the boundless steppes, ancient rocks with caves of primitive people, snow-covered ridges of great mountains. A man who has grown up in such a variety of landscapes, has a special sense of peace and nature. The creative family also helped to develop the teenager's talents. Alexander Zhilyayev’s mother is a florist teacher and his father is a jazz musician and, of course, her grandfather is a theatrical artist, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia, who has designed more than 300 performances during his career.
After service in the army, on the nuclear submarine of the Pacific Fleet, Alexander gets a job at the plant as a refrigeration equipment repair foreman. In his spare time he paints and participates in amateur exhibitions of local artists.
The formation of the master fell on the hard years of perestroika in Russia. The company has closed down. It was necessary to take odd jobs and work as the security guard. On the one hand, the usual life was destroyed, on the other hand, the new economic conditions required specialists of the new formation. The invitation to work in advertising agency has given the chance to remain in creativity and to the earnings required. Communication with customers, large and complex projects, work in force majeure - an invaluable experience of this period of life. Work in advertising agencies lasted from 1996 to 1999.
In 1994 Alexander gets married, his wife's name is Tatiana.
In 1996, Alexander Zhilyayev entered Biysk State University. After 5 years, he received a diploma and a specialty as a teacher of painting and graphics.
In 2012, Alexander Zhilyayev decided to devote all his working time to the creation of paintings.
In 2019, Alexander Zhilyaev became a member of the International Eurasian Union of Artists.
The manner of painting of Alexander Igorevich Zhilyayev is spoken about by his works. Paintings of the master are figurative and expressive. There is no search of realism and exact transfer of objects in them. The main thing is the image and state of mind of the creator, his free hand, making the movement of the brush on the surface of the canvas.
