There’s something irresistibly calming about the countryside in late summer — when the sun stretches long shadows across the golden fields and the air holds that warm, dusty stillness. I wanted to capture that exact feeling: the hush of an evening meadow, soft hay bales resting like giant sleeping animals, and a single cat wandering between them as if it belonged to the land.

This painting is filled with quiet energy. I painted it slowly, layer by layer, letting the warm tones of ochre, sunlit beige and soft grey build into something that breathes. The cat isn’t the main character — and yet, without it, the scene wouldn’t be complete. It adds life, mystery, a subtle presence that draws you in.

At 90×120 cm, it’s a statement piece that fills a space not with noise, but with peace. It’s ideal for rooms where you want to bring calm, warmth, and the memory of open skies.
