A BEWITCHED NIGHT | Ever stared at a painting and thought… How did the artist come up with this title?
I can't say it for the work you saw, but I know how I come to my titles. It’s simply what emerges between me and the work during the process, what begins to unfold. And later its expression, what it makes me feel, what it conveys to me when I sit and stare at it.
This work feels moody and magnetic: deep gray, violets nearly black, bright accents that flicker like distant lights. Some forms are sharply defined, others dissolve, melting into each other. Gestural motion,
fleeting impressions, reflections, or just something beyond reach and alive with mystery.
And even if I can’t exactly describe why, I know with certainty: it captures a night that feels bewitched.
