In my new work, I combine the imagery of sonar technology and bank cards, creating a metaphor for contemporary systems of surveillance. Like an underwater sonar, the banking infrastructure continuously “scans” space, detecting a person’s presence anywhere in the world.

While offering all the convenience and benefits of a payment card, this system simultaneously becomes a tool of total tracking. Every transaction, every movement, every route is transformed into a signal that is recorded and stored.

The work draws attention to the paradox of modern freedom: a technology designed for comfort and mobility enables constant monitoring—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
