Original artwork description
One of the ways I find new ideas for paintings is to ride my bike along one of several rail trails that run through forests and fields in this part of New England. This painting features two plants noticed on a long autumn ride - a tree completely covered in what appeared to be bright red berries (that would be the hawthorn) and a wood filled with the bright pink leaves of late autumn burning bush.
It is painted with acrylic paint on unstretched raw canvas. The painting will be rolled in a tube for shipping. It is initialed in the lower right hand corner and signed on the back.
