Tatiana Myreeva is a contemporary portrait painter originally from Yakutia (Republic of Sakha). She is a member of the Professional Union of Artists of Russia and is included in the Unified Art Rating with category 6-B, recognizing her as a professional artist.
Myreeva’s artistic practice is centered on the exploration of human emotion through portraiture. Working primarily with expressive color and dynamic brushwork, she creates images that exist on the border between figurative and abstract painting. Her portraits often emerge intuitively rather than from direct observation, allowing the characters to become reflections of inner psychological states rather than literal depictions of specific individuals.
A distinctive element of Tatiana’s work is the rhythmic movement of brushstrokes and the use of layered color. Fluid lines and wave-like forms introduce a sense of motion and energy, while deep violet and cool tonal harmonies lend a subtle mystical atmosphere to her paintings. Through this approach, the artist transforms the portrait into a visual language of emotion and introspection.
For Tatiana Myreeva, painting is a process of listening inward. She often describes the act of painting as a dialogue between the artist and the energy of the subject: sometimes the brush moves freely and intuitively, while at other times the process becomes more contemplative when the emotional resonance is more complex.
Alongside her personal projects, Myreeva also creates commissioned portraits, approaching each work as an attempt to capture not only the likeness of a person but also the subtle energy and individuality behind it.
Tatiana Myreeva actively participates in international exhibitions and competitions. Over the past several years, her works have been exhibited in the United States, Canada, and Russia. Her paintings are held in private collections in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia.
Today Tatiana continues to develop her artistic practice, exploring the emotional and symbolic potential of portrait painting and seeking new ways to translate inner experience into visual form.
