About Suzon Lagarde
Biography
I started painting four years ago after moving to London, reconnecting with the child I once was. I trained as a portrait painter for three years and I'm now developing my own practice in oil or gouache, as well as expanding my work to ceramic and installation at times.
My work is regularly selected in established competitions (and already 6 times with the Federation of British Artists at the Mall Galleries, London), I've received Emerging Artist awards and appeared on TV twice (Portrait Artist of the Year), my self-portraits also featured in the Guardian. My work is regularly acquired by collectors in the UK and internationally.
My work is described as colourful, uplifting, emotional, evocative of dreams and childhood memories. I draw inspiration from my daily life, my childhood memories and inner world.
