Biography
I was born in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia where I got a degree in fine arts at
the Academy of Art, Sarajevo University. My works were displayed on various group and solo exhibitions.
I moved to Canada and later to Chicago and Olympia, WA
My artwork is almost always a combination of figurative and abstract.
First, I make a scene in my mind and then make a small pencil sketch on paper where I define composition and theme.
I use both fluid and heavy body acrylic paint to achieve effects I like.
Working in layers I experiment and play with color combination to define shapes.
If i were to describe my personality, I would say that I am happy and optimistic, and I try to incorporate that in my choice of colors.
I live a life in color and I use those colors to express myself.
