About Robert Munning
Biography
Dutch artist Robert Munning (1981) lives in the south of the Netherlands close to a National Park where he can regularly be found. After graduating as a psychologist in 2004 Robert has been working part time with mentally disabled people, besides working as an artist in his studio at home.
Robert has joined numerous group exhibitions. He had a solo exhibition in 2020 and his work has been showcased on prestigious art-fairs.
In his own words: "Almost 30 years ago I started drawing a lot. Later on I worked with pastels and acrylics, but nowadays oil painting is what I love the most and I've been focusing intensely on that for more than 10 years now. It is simply something I cannot not do. To me painting is a little bit of magic; creating something which wasn't there before. Expressing a sensitivity to beauty. My work is often described as mysterious, serene and contemplative."
