  • Biography

Hi, my name is Olha Laptieva

I am an independent artist from Kyiv, (Ukraine). I am a hardworking and то passionate artist with many interests and skills. I love what I do, for painting is my passion, my life's work and my business.

I started to paint professionally at a mature age. Time for me is of special value, so I work hard and quickly.

My main direction of work is nature and flowers. I paint with oil on canvas in my own distinct style, which resembles the watercolour technique.

But over time, I developed a real passion for portraying people, I love showing the beauty of "ordinary" things around us. When I portray people, I use a different technique. I am especially interested in unique angles, dynamics, contrasts, and the beautiful shape of the shadows.

My inspiration comes from observing natural scenes and events.

My works are available in many private, municipal and corporate collections around the world.

I took part in painting symposia and many exhibitions in Ukraine. At the XIII and XIV International Exhibition-Competition Ukrainian Art Week, my works took the first places in the "Still Life" nomination.

June-December 2021 Participant of the project "ART Money"

The exhibition is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence and the development of contemporary art of our country and is supported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine in three cities of Ukraine.

    Event: Exhibition Art on money

    Dates: 4 Aug 2021 - 17 Oct 2021

Venue: Museum of Kiev, Ukraine, Kyiv

Drawing on banknotes was not very easy. It took me more time for a small bill than for a large canvas. The truth is, there was no experience at all. But it was interesting to participate in such a large-scale project. The opening of the exhibition took place at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
9 of my works took part in the exhibition.
The exhibition was held in four cities of Ukraine.
