  • Biography
Olga Müller, née Pimenova, was born in the Soviet Union (now Russia) in the town of Sarapul, part of Udmurt ASSR (now Udmurtia). Between 1985 and 1989 she attended Penza K. A. Savitsky famous College of Art, where she acquired an academic education in the art of painting, and in particular she studied working in the manner of realism. After finishing the College in Penza, Olga taught painting in Izhevsk School of Arts in Udmurtia. She worked with Udmurtia Book Publishing, illustrating books of Udmurt poetry and prose. Moving later to Moscow, she would privately teach painting there, and she had her paintings exhibited at various locations in Moscow. Participating in an international painting contest by the name of Artex Awards (held by the Russian Union of Professional Artists together with Arden Gallery), she won four gold medals for her works that she submitted to the contest. In 2014 Olga moved to Germany to the federal state of Hesse, after which she continued her international activity participating in various "Art Projects" principally in Russia, but also in other countries. Since 2015 she has taken part in different art exhibitions and symposia variously held in the countries of Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, Russia, Romania as well as Jordan. In 2017 she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia from the Russian Trade Union of Artists. Every year Olga participates in various collective and individual art exhibitions held in the German cities of Cologne and Munich, being a member of the Internationale Kunstagentur Zarifa Art. Olga's grandfather was an Udmurt shaman, and from her earliest age she has felt herself to be part of the Finno-Ugric world. She considers the wilderness of Udmurtia to be sentient, where every blade of grass has a story to tell. When she would wander in the woods, she would converse with the trees and the flowers as if with sentient beings. She would later author a series of paintings entitled "Floral Women", dedicated to the forms of flowers that take after the forms of beautiful women. Yet many other different themes are familiar to her; those include landscape painting, abstraction and paintings that depict the way of living of people of other nations.
