I’m Oksana, a botanical watercolour artist based in London.

I create detailed botanical paintings alongside more contemporary compositions in which flowers, leaves and branches come together to form recognisable silhouettes.

My work begins with close observation of plants. I paint mainly in watercolour on paper, gradually building colour through transparent layers and paying particular attention to form, texture and the small natural details that make each subject unique.

Alongside traditional botanical illustration, I am developing my Botanical Silhouettes series. These works explore a more contemporary approach to botanical art, using individual flowers and plant forms to create larger recognisable shapes while preserving their realistic botanical detail.

I am currently studying for a Botanical Painting Diploma with London Art College and continue to develop my practice through drawing, observation and painting. My work has also been featured in Artists & Illustrators magazine.
