Nikolay Martinov is an award-winning Bulgarian professional sculptor whose works have been widely exhibited in group events nationally. In 2010 he graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia with both bachelor and master degrees in the specialties of art woodcarving and wood sculpture. Creating in bronze and wood, his diverse compositions experiment with lines, shapes, as well as natural forms and wood materials. His elaborate carvings are always precise and aiming for perfection. For Martinov, abstraction and geometry give him the needed freedom to explore with shape and composition in his art.
