Biography
I am Natasha Sokolnikova — SoNata Art — a painter whose work lives at the intersection of tenderness and quiet strength.
Born in Moldova and now rooted in Germany, I create paintings that speak about love, the silent language of flowers, the soulful presence of animals and birds, and the deep emotional power of color. For me, every flower is a feminine whisper — fragile yet resilient — while animals and birds carry an unspoken kinship with the wild, untamed world. My canvases are small bridges between human hearts and nature’s quiet poetry.
My path began at the prestigious Alexei Sciusev School of Fine Arts in Chișinău, continued at the University of Humanitarian Knowledge, and has since been shaped by years of travel and immersion in different cultures. These experiences taught me to see beauty not only in grand vistas, but in the tiniest petal trembling in the wind.
When I paint, the world around me fades. Time stops. Technique becomes invisible. What remains is pure feeling — a moment when the artwork begins to breathe on its own and starts a private conversation with whoever stands before it.
My greatest joy is knowing that my paintings have already found homes across the USA, Canada, Japan, the UK, Norway, Switzerland, Germany, Moldova and beyond.
I am deeply honored to have represented Moldova in the international project Reflections for Change and to be the first Moldovan artist selected for the historic Lunar Codex Project. My painting Crystal Chimes will travel to the Moon in 2026 as part of the Polaris Collection — a time capsule that will outlive us all.
I speak English, Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian — and I am currently falling in love with German.
If a painting ever calls to you, if it feels like it was waiting just for you — write to me. I answer personally on Instagram or by email.
I would be honored to share the story behind the work… or simply listen to yours.
With love and light,
