About Nataliia Krykun

Biography

Nataliia Krykun, born in 1988, is a Ukrainian ultra-contemporary multidisciplinary artist. Working primarily with monochrome colors and gold leafing, she creates sculptural paintings and minimalist forms that explore depth, texture, and contrast. Her use of monochromatic surfaces, structured reliefs, and carefully chosen materials transforms simplicity into a powerful visual and tactile experience. Her works are celebrated for conveying universal themes of humanity, identity, and cultural resilience. Krykun's artwork invites contemplation and stillness, balancing elegance with raw materiality. Her refined aesthetic opens a quiet dialogue between shadow and light, surface and space. Krykun has participated in numerous international exhibitions and art fairs worldwide. A highlight was the exhibition of her works at the VOLTA Basel and Art Basel Week in Miami, and she is a participant at the Pavilion of Ukraine at the 58th La Biennale di Venezia- “The Shadow of a Dream Cast Upon Giardini Della Biennale". Her works have also been showcased at Art Fair Vilnius 2023 and in Austria's Krems Museum, within the historic Dominican Church. She continues her education at the University of Arts Linz, Austria
