About Nataliia Karavan

Biography

Nataliia Karavan is a Ukrainian-born artist whose work has been exhibited internationally in cities such as London, Paris, Vancouver, Chicago and across Ukraine. Her artistic journey began with a Foundation Year at Camberwell College of Arts, where she conducted research on the emotional impact of color and movement. Initially exploring fashion during her BA studies in London, she later found her true passion in painting.

After earning a Master’s degree in Art and Design, Nataliia began teaching art to children and adults in China. She now works full-time as a painter from her studio in Vancouver, where she relocated following the outbreak of war in Ukraine.

Nataliia’s abstract compositions are vibrant, expressive, and emotionally charged—ranging from moments of tranquility to bursts of intensity and joy. Her contemporary approach blends bold brushstrokes, luminous color palettes, and layered textures to reflect the beauty and vitality found in nature.

Her paintings are infused with the dynamic energy of light, evoking feelings of freedom, serenity, and inner harmony. Each piece is built through multiple layers of oil and spray paint on canvas, creating depth and movement.

The Floral Ecstasy collection celebrates life force, feminine energy, and the journey of self-discovery—revealing a sensual, tender reflection on nature, womanhood, and self-love.
