I grew up by the sea in Odesa, Ukraine, and now live and paint in Northern California. My background in photography naturally taught me to catch subtle light and changing weather, which eventually led me to watercolor. I paint primarily wet-on-wet on 100% cotton Arches watercolor paper, working with granulating Daniel Smith and Rosa Gallery pigments to capture the mood of California coastlines, mountain trails, and seasonal shifts. Having regularly exhibited my work in regional Bay Area galleries and receiving multiple awards, I want to reach a dedicated community of collectors through Artfinder. I appreciate the platform’s focus on curated, original artwork and look forward to sharing my paintings with an international audience.
