The Project is about urban architectures and is developing in the cities where we live and work: l'Aquila and Agrigento. The mould of a piece of urban architecture tells its own story and tells us the history of its formation. Urban architecture determines our access to a place and influences our passage through walls and streets.
The wall is a barrier, is a boundary, is a frontier, is a protection, is historical memory, is matter that changes over time. Our work consists of the creation of a series of silicone casts, from which we obtain an impression of the architecture around us. This is our idea of “semantic calque”.

Biography
Marilina Marchica was born in 1984 in Agrigento,
After receiving her diploma at Liceo Artistico “Michelangelo” in Agrigento, she moved to Spain for the Erasmus project at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and in 2008 she graduated in Painting at Accademy of Fine Arts in Bologna. She has taken part in several exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
she lives and works in Roma
The protagonists of the artworks are the sign and the landscape these dominant and contrasting elements together, being the subject of the artist. Marilina Marchica, interested in different shades of reality, landscapes and cities, which day after day welcomes events and individuals, the landscape is transformed, sometimes it is fragile and The signs of the past change continuously. The horizon line is present in the works of art Landscapes, entropic landscapes poised between order and disorder, chaos and cosmos, the images are poetic and rarefied, which receive an intimate and deep sense of belonging to the places. in works of art it appears an effective minimalist practice that captures the hidden dimension of landscapes in which time and places gather in the memory space of the observer.
