About Margo de Jong

  • Biography
The occasional serenity of city life and the rhythms in nature is what I love working around most. I am forever fascinated by the plays of light and colour in my surroundings, whether I am in an urban of more natural area. A recurring theme in my work is reflections in water,  mainly in urban contexts. I take my inspiration largely from travelling to cities, but the varying Dutch landscape and its forests close to where I live and work also form a source of inspiration to be translated into a painting.

I work exclusively with oil paint on either rough or prepared canvas, differing in sizes and proportions.
