Biography
Hello! I am Mădălina Gavrilă, a painter living and working in Iasi City, Romania.
I was born in 1990 and am very much a 90s kid.
I am also a Buddhist who loves minimalism, interior design and the color red.
Why I paint:
I have a Bachelor in Philology and all my adult life I have worked in offices and corporate environments, in cubicles or between white walls. I feel that there is a hardness and a blandness to our modern spaces, our buildings, our offices, even our homes, the places where we live, work and are supposed to enjoy our life.
So I paint flowers, fruits that are sweet and colorful, landscapes that are quiet and zen and abstract paintings that are bold and energizing. Through my paintings I want to bring back color, joy and curiosity in our space and everyday life.
