About Konstantin Antioukhin

Biography

My name is Konstantin Antioukhin, I'm a graphic artist from Ukraine. My preferable technique is etching, and my engravings and bookplates have been exhibited in: Pavlovsky Art & Craft Gallery (Utrecht, Netherlands); Holland Art Fair (Den – Haag, Netherlands); Largo Art Gallery (Varna, Bulgaria); Xsotaris Art Forum (Greece); Épreuve Art Gallery (Antwerp, Belgium).

I have a penchant for creating what I like, which are sensuality and various representatives of fauna – insects and reptiles. Due to this I often unite these two parts – a female body and reptiles, so I am known as an artist who images sensuality. I always try not to create or support boundaries by just delivering the plot. Instead, I try to transfer my own feelings and emotions, as well as leave space for the viewer to explore his own mentality and feelings, create his own version of the depicted action. So I try my works to be created to take one's desires and fears out, to break one's stereotypes and boundaries and widen the horizon. An artist's tools seem to be so limited compared to those of nature. I can depict in my works only a small part of what imagination depicts within my mind. Look at the frog's skin texture or cockroach's chitin! They are natural masterpieces realized by the creator. I believe that the cooperation with Artfinder will be mutually beneficial, as would like everyone who might be interested, to be able to find one's personal story in my works, learn more about oneself, as well as about nature speaking through the depicted shapes.
