Biography
Hi there, my name is Kishor Sonawane
I have been painting in watercolours since long for about 12 years now. My interest in drawing started at very early age before going to school. I always enjoyed sketching and painting in his childhood and while schooling I passed state level Elementary, Intermediate drawing grade exams with Merit, A-grade and subject prize which was huge motivation for me to keep doing art. During all these years I kept my passion for art alive. In Canada I won couple of awards in local competitions and exhibitions.
Painting for me is an experience capturing timeless moments of mood, expressions and atmosphere in everyday life. Mostly self-taught I quickly got attracted towards watercolours and started exploring and experimenting with it since year 2008. I was always inspired by the watercolor paintings of many watercolor masters from around the world.

First Place in watercolor category Focus Art Juried annual exhibition at Cornwall Onatrio, 2016 for "Corwall Winter"
Third Place in work on paper category in Plein Air competition McMicheal Art Gallery Kleinberg Ontario, 2019 for "Morning at Kleinberg"
Third Place in work on paper category in Virtual En Plein Air competition McMicheal Art Gallery Kleinberg Ontario, 2020 for "Picnic"
