About Kate Watkins

I have been producing prints for many years and have a fascination for the variety of techniques and processes which fall under the umbrella of printmaking. My work features etching, drypoint, monoprint, and silkscreen methods alongside newer digital printmaking, often in combination with one another. The coastlines theme developed whilst studying for an MA in Fine Art Printmaking at Winchester School of Art. Recognisable coastal silhouettes and structures, beach huts, worn and eroded surfaces and discarded beach ephemera are ongoing subjects for exploration.
