About James Zhao

I was born in a small city in China. I immigrated to Canada after spending two year on my degree in Australia in 1998.

I love drawing since at very young age and I like to draw and paint everything. The love of art is the main drive for me to persistent on painting. And the passion for horses makes me paint horses most of time. The beauty and speed of horses inspired me to bring horses onto the canvas. So eventually I become an equine artist. 

I paint in oil on canvas, in the style of realism. I also work on commission.
