Creatively my interests have always been drawn towards playing with size and proportion, along with surreal and the ridiculous. Carefully I choose motifs and subjects that have an immediate appeal: townscapes and buildings, land and seascapes. Three dimensional iconography and illusional forms are interwoven into the pictures, creating a distorted reality. The subject is often quirky, or has a reference to an earlier history or myth. These themes attempt to conspire and play with the unreality of perspective, dimension and representation by distorting and re-evaluating the whole notion of archetypal space and scale, both on paper and canvas. With a love of drawing, much of my work is made in etching & aquatint and I think Artfinder will be the perfect place to show and hopefully sell my work.
