I am a Turkish painter born in Istanbul and living in Aydın. While continuing my Civil Engineering education, I left there and studied Archeology and Art History. I work in painting mediums such as Oil Painting, Gouache, Oil Pastel and Acrylic. I have continued my art studies, which I started in high school, uninterruptedly until today. Although I am technically self-taught, I gained art culture and knowledge largely thanks to my education in Archeology and Art History.
In my paintings, I generally use my albums consisting of my surroundings, old family photos, photographs I have taken, and photographs I have cut and collected from various publications over the years.
My paintings are documents of my existence in this world, my perspective, and the experiences I have had so far.
If the instant emotion it evokes in me when I look at any image is really sharp and strong, that image or emotion is a candidate to be reflected on the canvas.
What the viewer gets is a unique feeling blended with their own memories and experiences. But inevitably there will be places where our worlds intersect in some way.
