  • Biography

    Georgi Troyanov is a Bulgarian professional contemporary sculptor. He is born in 1951 in the beautiful Bulgarian town of Velingrad. In 1980 he graduated from the National Academy of Arts with master degree in Art Woodcarving and Wood Sculpture. Right away after his graduation he was invited to be a chief assistant at the Woodcaring department at the Aademy and between 1981-90 he was working there as a teacher. In 1990 he and his family emigrated to Israel, where in Tel Aviv he continued his art career with numerous solo exhibitions and events. Ever since that most of his artworks are already part of private collections in Israel and the USA. He adores to explore nature forms in his art and his unique modernist style. His woodcarvings are always surprising with precise vivid colors and unique details. His professional highly educated technique is stunning with its remarkable carving accuracy and precision in colors. Since 2022 he started working with the Bulgarian Integrated Artists Gallery in Sofia-city.
