About Dawn Latham

  • Biography

The source of my art is deeply embedded, multi-faceted and evolving.  Visual impressions are compounded as I embrace a fleeting moment or discover the fragile and decaying trace of what once was. This sensibility grounds me and emerges in the spaces of my paintings.
I'm constantly inspired by the coastal landscape and spend hours sifting through the shoreline. I often combine paints, pigments, pencil and inks to achieve a depth, texture and layering in my work.
