  • Biography
    I have had a passion for painting and drawing from my childhood years through my formal education to the present day. While studying art I always gravitated towards masters of the european realist tradition. Although I had formal training to MA level in fine art painting I am very much self taught, researching techniques of painting and learning through trial and error. I would say all my works are a continual process of development and self expression, so which direction to pursue has always been a question I ask myself, keeping the spark of creativity alive. I enjoy working directly from observation or taking a longer period of time for an idea to progress over many months in my studio based in West Yorkshire, producing studies and reaching some conclusion at a particular moment in time. I like the way Artfinder is able to connect the artist with potential collectors in a unique immediate way, without the need to see work in an actual physical gallery space. I am interested in developing this approach in my career as an artist through Artfinder.
