    I have been painting for 16 years and I think I now have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of oil painting, Understanding and mastering the principals of painting gives one the freedom to express a vision not limited to the immediate environment but to allow for elements of the imagination to be expressed. My painting is strongly influenced by collage in that I combine elements that were not originally found together juxtaposing them to create an image that has elements of the fantastic.
