About Bertie Fritsch

I am a contemporary painter working with interior environments, atmosphere, and the subtle relationship between artwork and lived space. My paintings are created to be experienced over time — not simply viewed, but lived with — quietly shaping the mood and perception of a room through colour, light, texture, and composition.

Rather than treating painting as a standalone object, I see each work as part of an ongoing dialogue with its surroundings and the people who inhabit them. My practice is rooted in the belief that art can alter how a space feels emotionally and psychologically, bringing moments of stillness, reflection, and presence into everyday life.

I’m drawn to Artfinder because it creates a direct connection between artists and collectors who value original, independent work and want to integrate art meaningfully into their homes. Outside the traditional gallery system, this feels like a natural and personal way for my work to find the spaces — and people — it resonates with.
