Biography
I’m a representational artist living in the UK. I was born in India, where my love for drawing and painting began in childhood. After spending my youth—and over 15 years—in New Delhi working as an illustrator and animator, I moved to Basingstoke, UK, in 2011. That same year marked a turning point as I chose to leave behind my commercial career and devote myself fully to painting.
Nature and living beings have always been my deepest sources of inspiration. I strive to capture their spirit and movement through my work. I began my fine art journey with watercolours, drawn to their fluidity and transparency. While portraiture came naturally to me, I found a greater sense of creative freedom and emotional depth in painting animals—free from the constraints of human models. For the past decade, I’ve focused on emotive animal portraits, exhibiting my work online and in galleries.
My style blends realism with expressive brushwork and vibrant colour, often leaning toward impressionism. More recently, I’ve expanded into oils and acrylics, exploring seascapes and abstract forms that highlight texture, atmosphere, and emotion.
My evolving practice reflects a continual journey of exploration, guided by a deep connection to the natural world.
