I make art out of a desire to preserve stories connected to memory. I often work from old photographs or objects closely associated with personal history. Most of my favorite work comes about while experimenting with unexpected juxtapositions or materials. Through the use of expressive marks and thoughtful compositions, my work attempts to communicate the deep sense of significance that often resonates with me upon examining the simple.
