  • Biography

    Anne McKenzie creates unique banners that explore timeless calligraphic techniques and botanic subjects in acrylic paint on a variety of Japanese papers.  Inspired by ideas of painting as meditation and colour as emotionally resonant with brushstrokes that are spontaneous yet highly conscious.

     

    A contemporary approach to the age-old joy of mark making and colour mixing that is also in keeping with environmental appreciation and awareness.  The banners add individuality, seasonal style and serenity to a variety of interiors.

     

    Anne is based in London, paints directly from life in Kew Gardens and Hampstead Heath and has exhibited in a variety of designer/maker shows in the UK including Made, London 2019.  Anne has a PG Dip Art Therapy from Goldsmith’s, London and a Fine Art Degree.
