  • Biography

    B. Rzeszow, Poland / Living in Chicago, IL

(b.1991) Anna Mielniczuk is an abstract artist and illustrator based in Chicago, IL. Playful, colorful, and imperfect, Anna’s abstract practice seeks to find harmony between color and shape. Her illustration practice, borrowing from her abstract work, is largely inspired by folk art, vintage children’s books, and the natural world.

Anna received her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2019. She has exhibited her work within the U.S in Illinois, including the Chicago Public Library, as well as gallery spaces in Chicago and Elgin; Covington, Louisiana,  South Haven, Michigan; and internationally in Italy in Venice, Basilicata, and Sardinia. Along with in person exhibits, her work has been featured in print as well as preserved on contemporary digital galleries. In 2018, Anna participated in a transdisciplinary residency in Italy, which culminated in an artist talk at the The Stazione dell’ Arte Contemporary Art Museum in Ulassai and an exhibit in Nurri.
