About Alice Lipping

My work is inspired by movement, texture, and the rhythm of the city. Drawing from the

energy of New York, I create abstract paintings that balance structure with spontaneity

through layered mark-making and intuitive use of color.

Experimentation is central to my process. I use a range of materials and tools to build

texture, depth, and unexpected effects, allowing each piece to evolve through

exploration rather than a fixed outcome.

I’m interested in that in-between space where things feel loose, a little unpredictable, yet

still come together with a sense of cohesion.

These paintings are meant to be lived with—inviting you to return and discover

something new over time.
