About Alena Salavei

Biography

My artistic practice is rooted in meditation and the exploration of energy flows. In moments of stillness—or what I describe as a “devastated” state—it becomes possible to perceive the intricate structures of the universe: charged centers, subtle channels, and voids that together form an unseen yet highly organized system. Each abstract work begins with a point of departure: a place, event, or moment of complete immersion where consciousness and environment achieve balance. This conscious immersion, this effort to remain fully present in the “Exist Now,” is both a personal pursuit and the driving force behind my creative process. The works I create are graphic structures that capture states of being while reflecting the endless complexity of form. The black line functions as a channel—an active conduit for energy—through which I attempt to map and visualize the flow of internal and external forces. For me, the role of the artist is to render these natural processes visible, to give them a graphic identity. When energy streams are traced and abstracted in this way, they become messages about the underlying organization of a more sensitive, hidden reality.
