The city of Zug in Switzerland has a beautiful medieval part, Zuger Aldstadt which is best seen from the rose garden - a hill above the town.
This is the view depicted in this painting with Mount Rigi and Mount Pilatus in the background and the central Alps beyond that.
Zugerberg, the local mountain reachable by funicular, path, or road, is depicted on the left.
