Original artwork description:

I was visiting my friend in the country and she wanted to show me her prize possession - her garden. It was a riot of colour, pansies in all different hues of purple and mauve. Some had delicate white petals blending in with these colours. Also Tulips again white with the occasional bright purple and pink. This was set off by the yellow flowers growing wildly in thick clumps. The purple of the flowers contrasted with the yellows of these plants. In the distance there were fields stretching as far as the eye could see. Patchwork of greens. A truly country garden

Materials used:

pastel on archival paper
