Artwork description
I was thinking of a song about yellow roses. The singer says he'll be back when the yellow roses bloom. The subtext is that something went wrong. I'm blaming the grasshopper! My grasshopper is waiting in the corner to do its work!
I drew this image onto linoleum, cut out the negative areas, and then printed the raised areas onto Strathmore paper with black ink. Then, I colored the image in with watercolor and gouache.
