I find smallish abstracts in oil on paper a good exercise for the quest of trying to work out what it is that makes an abstract work. I haven't got any closer to the answer, but some of them work and some of them don't.
The image size is 33.5x23.5cm, oil on lovely Arches Oil Paper. This painting could hang any which way around.
