19th century. France. Love... I would like to wish the viewer to come up with a story himself... the name of the painting says a lot, but at the same time it does not say anything. The French Riviera...romance, the sea. The sea is turquoise, inviting... soothing color. The seashore is full of flowers ... the polychrome of the field plays with pink, yellow and blue and orange and different shades. Mountains in the distance and a light sky....slightly receding into the distance.
