Original artwork description:

My largest oil painting to date is this Woodland Idyll.
I painted it during an artists residency in the New Forest in springtime.
The location, a tranquil spot in the heart of the forest, with a stream running through the undergrowth. I spent many hours there, first sketching several locations, from differing viewpoints, then making colour sketches with oil pastels, and only after a couple of days familiarising myself, did I work up this painting in my forest studio.

It is painted on a professional quality deep edge canvas measuring 24” x 36” x 1 1/2” deep, and has black edges.

It does not need a frame, as it is ready to hang. It is signed, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
