Here are some traditional wooden boats seen in Ramsgate Harbour.
They were designed as cabin cruisers, for use on Britains waterways and rivers. During WW2 they were ‘press ganged’ into service for the evacuation of our troops from Dunkirk. It was an emergency, and with very little time for preparation, and bags of courage they set sail.

This oil painting measures 14” x 10” unframed, it is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
