Die Bahnhofsmission schätzt, dass rund 60.000 Menschen in Berlin wohnungslos sind, über 12.000 davon sind Frauen. Sie leben in den Wohnungslosenunterkünften des Landes, kommen bei Bekannten unter, ziehen von Couch zu Couch – oder schlafen auf der Straße.
Meine Bild zeigt eine bunte Welt. Ganz im Gegensatz zu den Menschen, die auf der Starsse leben müssen. Ihr Hab und Gut in bunten Plastiktüten verpackt suchen Sie täglich einen sicheren Schlafplatz. Die bunten Tüten sind ein unheimlicher Gegensatz zum Grauen Alltag des Lebens eines obdachlosen Menschen.
The Bahnhofsmission estimates that around 60,000 people in Berlin are homeless, over 12,000 of them women. They live in the country's homeless shelters, take shelter with acquaintances, move from couch to couch - or sleep on the street.
My picture shows a colorful world. Quite the opposite of the people who have to live on the stars. Their belongings packed in colorful plastic bags, they search daily for a safe place to sleep. The colorful bags are an eerie contrast to the gray everyday life of a homeless person.
